The AZ Chamber of Commerce & Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is suing to overturn the $10 minimum wage law just passed by the voters. Did you know that 89% of those who would benefit from a minimum wage increase are age 20 or older and 56 percent are women?

Just who is the AZ Chamber of Commerce?

When statistics show that the richest 1% have more wealth than the rest of the world combined, it reminds us that we haven’t done a good job standing up for worker’s rights. The fact that these 2 business chambers, with a wink-wink, non-nod from some in our AZ Legislature are suing to stop someone from earning $10 an hour is sadly a statement of the people’s non-action that has empowered them to do so. They count on us not caring enough to vote in elected leaders to office that will protect and defend worker’s rights….AND they count on people just not voting at all.
