Rock the Vote is the largest nonpartisan, non-profit organization in the United States driving young people to the polls. Fusing pop culture, politics, and technology, Rock the Vote works to mobilize the millennial voting bloc and the youth vote, protect voting rights and advocate for an electoral process and voting system that works for the 21st century electorate.
Rock the Vote is a nonpartisan, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization dedicated to building political power for young people. Rock the Vote does not support or endorse candidates, nor do we advocate for one political party over another. We don’t care who you vote for – we just want you to vote!
Rock the Vote believes we need a massive cultural shift in the way people – specifically young people – think about voting. We need to create a culture of voting, a culture of defending the right to vote. That’s why we believe partnering with artists, musicians, actors, and technology companies is key to engaging with young people, driving a greater amount of them to the polls and using their inner voice to incite change.
We cannot afford to have young people sit out of the political process when so much is at stake for their future. Rock the Vote changed politics forever and it’s not going to stop.
Millennials are over 80 million strong and growing. With that mass, we represent a voting block that can and does swing elections. The youth vote is a huge force for social change. We are the most diverse generation yet. We are passionate about the issues and we give our time to causes we care about and issues that inspire us.
We will swing elections this year and we could even swing the presidential election with our voting block if turnout is high. We are tied to issues, not political parties, making us a smart, engaged audience for any candidate who wants to emerge victorious.
No, Rock the Vote is a nonpartisan organization. We don’t care what party or candidate you support. We care that you vote and participate in the process. To make sure that’s possible we defend voting rights and work to increase opportunities for you to vote.
